Parade-able Plastic Puppets and Costumes Workshop

  • Yukon Artists @ Work 4129 4 Avenue Whitehorse, YT, Y1A 1H7 Canada (map)

As a part of Plastic Free July, come join Nicole Bauberger in turning your clean waste plastic into parade-able puppets and costumes! It is hard to know how to solve the problems of plastic, but we can make it more visible.

Sign up on Eventbrite!

Admission is by donation (suggested: $5-40). Donations go to covering the rental of the space.

July 17 & 18: 6pm-8pm (Attend either or both sessions!)

Location: Yukon Artists At Work Gallery

*Artists under 10 years old should bring a grownup companion.

We will pool our imaginations and expertise to make amazingly eye-catching costumes and puppets. We encourage you to save plastics from your recycling bin so that you have a good amount to work with and share.

Nicole will have tape, needle and thread, scissors, bamboo poles, and her experience in creating with waste stream plastics.

You will get the opportunity to showcase your wonderful creations at the Plastic Parade at the Fireweed Market on July 25th!

-We will parade with musical accompaniment.

-Bring your stilts if you have them!
